Kosher Restaurants in Amsterdam
Last updated:
Keeping kosher in Amsterdam? Every restaurant on this page appears on at least one of the city's kosher lists: the Ashkenazi rabbinate (NIHS), the Sephardi-Portuguese rabbinate (Esnoga) or Chabad Amsterdam Center. We check those lists every week, and each restaurant links straight to its listing so you can verify it yourself.
Beware: amsterdam.info erroneously lists many kosher style restaurants, like Mezzave, as kosher. Every restaurant below is listed by NIHS, Esnoga or Chabad, and links to its listing.

Good to know
- Shabbat and holidays: kosher restaurants are closed from Friday afternoon until Saturday night and on Jewish holidays. Many close early on Friday.
- Call ahead. Hours change, especially around holidays and in winter.
- Meat, dairy, parve labels come from the kosher lists. For questions about a specific standard (e.g. mehadrin or chalav Yisrael), ask the restaurant or the certifying authority.
